Gabe sits in the front seat of "El Tortuga Verde", the green camper van that our friend Dee kindly loaned us for the road trip. |
Rather by accident we discovered that our intended route, from St. Louis all the way to through New Mexico and beyond, coincided with historic Route 66. Gabe was keen to retrace the hisoric road, and we picked up a quasi-historical booklet to instruct and entertain us on the way. |
